Where I live we have the opportunity to go to the beach any day. A ten minute drive or a 20 minute bike ride. Yet despite the opportunity I find myself going for days or weeks without standing on the dunes, watching the waves, or photographing the rocks or the pelicans, or just listening to the distant traffic while I look to the sea. When I go I have a camera at the ready. Sometimes I take a shot that reminds me how lucky I am to be here.
