Mix and Mingle was a event I conducted by myself. The event was about different years and majors, additionally leadership positions, and anything. (i.e. GD senior, illustration major, painting junior, students working on campus as a work-study or non work-study, international students..
The purpose of the event is giving underclassmen productive ideas of being upperclassmen or being involved with MICA for their future successes! (what kind of projects they might be assigned to do in the future, which classes are fun/serious/worth as electives, which professor is good at giving advice, how students can find job positions on campus)
The reason why I want to do this is that when I transferred to MICA last year I didn't know anyone nor how classes would be like. There were so many things I thought "I wish someone told me that long time ago! not now! " I dont want underclassmen to feel the same as I did. Actually, I got so much precious info from other MICA students and communities, and those info helped me A LOT.
I invited students who were in leadership positions or would like to be representatives from their departments.
