Rainbow Of Emotion
Made in February 2010
The very first experimental film I've worked on. Again for my course at AUCB.
We presented Voices to our teachers, but we were told the idea just wasn't experimental enough. It had too much of a narrative and didn't seem to have a deeper meaning. We went back into editing with voices and completely re-started it from scratch, but now removing the dialogue, rearranging the order of sequences and experimenting with the different effects in the software. We also used some clips that didn't make it into the final version of Voices, like moments the camera caught by accident, or footage from the test shoot we did a few days before it.
The idea revolves around colours and how different colours can give off different emotions. What we found interesting was how people were interpreting the film differently, for example one class mate thought the film was quite sinister, where as one of our teachers thought it was quite a funny piece.
