Katie is a video game nerd who is desperately awaiting for her new Nintendo Wii console to be delivered. However as the days go on and on, life almost becomes unbearable for her.
The Arrival was made as part of a 1 week assignment for the Directing Specialism in our Fundamentals 2 unit. The only instructions we were given was to make the theme of the film "The Arrival", the story and the way we shoot the film is completely up to us. I decided that I wanted to do something that was different and unique compared to other film school projects, not to mention I was heavily inspired by the Edgar Wright film "Scott Pilgrim vs. The World" (the first scene directly mimics this as you will see). It was a lot of fun.
