Building Boxes - Collaboration with Jacob Nemec

We constructed about two dozen boxes of varying sizes, and in a few of them we installed buttons, switches, potentiometers, and lights. We left the boxes in a room and let participants create their own space, defining the boxes however they want.

Designed to bring back the sense of play and imagination that kids experience, especially in giving creative meaning to mundane objects (ie a spaceship made of cardboard boxes). Building Boxes scales up the normally child-like experience for adults and adds some tools to help define the creative spaces being made.
