Black Cat Rescue Rebranding
Black Cat Rescue is a no-kill organization in Boston, MA that helps find permanent loving homes for black cats. Black cats have 50% less chances to be adopted than other cats because of the superstition that they would be unlucky. Black Cat Rescue works to improve to change the views of black cats. Using their values and mission statements, I created a new potential branding for them.
I worked on the logo and changed its concept a few times until I came up with my final idea. Going back to the history of black cats, I got inspired by Egyptian art as a starting point and used the eyes representation at first. The final logo can be seen as the eye of the cat, the ear and face or the cat from the back with the tail going up.
