Brief: Design a new and classic cover for the book ‘To kill a Mockingbird’. The cover should feel timeless and confident and appeal to a whole new generation of readers.
OUTCOME
Black and white represents the racism prevalent throughout the book.
The paper cut technique represents Boo Radley’s hand cut figurines for the children.
The cage symbolises Tom and Boo’s incarceration.
Bookmark consists of a string and a disk giving the ability to hang the books up around a bookshop like birdcages. (Point of sale)
The back of the book is upside down. The string then looks like the cord on blinds.
