Facade - A short film
Please watch the film before reading the description below (spoilers ahead).

Purpose
This is a short film that hopes to depict what goes on behind the scenes for people facing eating disorders, in particular, Bulimia. This project was started because of an informal inter-university filmmaking competition called 'Tarang'.

Constrains
This was the first attempt by a group of novices at filmmaking. The film was made with limited budget and resources over a short duration of 2 weeks. The team comprised of engineering students but with a creative passion for storytelling. We proudly learned everything from scratch and came up with it ourselves. We had the following constraints:
1. Limited time for 2 weeks
2. No proper equipment for video recording. Only 1 DSLR Nikon's D7100 with Nikon's 50mm F1.8 lens, Tokina 11-16mm wide angle lens.
3. No proper mic, hence we had to omit dialogues and recorded the music with an android phone.

Process
We started the process by coming up with a storyboard, to illustrate our story through each and every scene. We listed down each scene, the camera angles, the costumes for the actors, the locations and the props required to as much detail as could be thought. This was followed by taking the audition for the roles of the actors. The movie was shot according to our storyboard and plans. It was followed by editing the videos. Adobe Premiere Pro cc was used to edit the scenes along with some help from Photoshop. We had to spend a lot of time and detail to create a visual effect in some scenes like the magazine shifting scene, the scene where the black figure grasps all characters one by one. The music was composed after the scenes were stitched together, so as to get the right rhythm and feel.
