Background:

I wanted to be in a cycle of constant creation. I wanted to flow from one work to another without being hindered by any rules, planning, nor procedure. These are a small portion of the 4x6 inch paintings I've created on paper: And I have gotten so much enjoyment from them! To me, they all just feel like one continuous piece of artwork. When I finish one piece, it doesn't really feel like the end for me. I feel content with each one, as if they're sentences to a book, and one leads to the next because it just simply does. Each painting is important, for the things I learn and experience on one sheet of paper lends itself to the creation of the next piece.

I am often afraid of losing my passion for art: It has happened to me once before and it was one of the most difficult things I had to go through. Lately I had been feeling burdened to find the finished work in every piece I created and to find the perfection in its finality - And that was a drain to my creative energy. Now, I'm fine with my pieces being imperfect and perhaps at times a bit odd and surprising to me.

This project has truly helped me enjoy the process of creating - And is where I am trying to get myself to return to every day I create art.
