Shahada Mouzon's profile

INDIA : Phenomenon of Color

Concept Board:
This concept was based on the vibrant colors and traditional South East Asian culture and silhouettes.

Mood Board:

I was really intrigued by the Kumari goddess of Nepal and how she is represented in real life, with grace, royalty and respect. In the terms of my collection,I wanted to portrayed this toward the younger generation. To show how modest clothing can be used as a glamorous way of clothing.

This is my progress board. it shows my progress of how I got to my final sketches. seeing that my inspiration came from all different parts of India and time.
WIP Board (Work in Progress):
This Second part also shows my muslin and some of my final designs that are also in their Final progress.

Digital Textile Print:
My Textile Deign was inspired by Mandala motifs. These motifs are usually larger and has intricate symmetry, with hours of patience and work, these mandala are usually gone with minutes and made anew. With my design, I wanted to keep that traditional feeling, just with a vibrant and modern twist.
