Project: Found Object and Typography
Role: Graphic Designer
For this project, we had to combine a found object and found type in an interesting way. I found an 1950's Nuclear Fallout Pamphlet, which informed readers about the dangers of fallout and how to protect themselves from it. I decided to combine this text with a dollhouse, which I burned and melted with a blowtorch, to show how children who grew up in this time of nuclear war were taught to live in fear of dying from a bomb. I put the text into the house as small framed photographs and included a magnifying glass to help some viewers read the text.
