Emerge: The Lifestyle of Emerging Boston Artists

Boston. A city filled with hidden gems and a plethora of talent. With so much character and community, its’ qualities set it apart from any other city in America. One of its’ greatest assets is its’ students; eager to learn and striving for success. I chose to create a lifestyle brand called Emerge that dedicates its’ purpose to showcasing young Boston talent in a variety of fields, such as emerging photographers, videographers, fashion designers, interior designers, musicians, and secret Boston hotspots. The magazines feature interviews with and the work of local Boston talent.

The purpose of Emerge is to shed light and showcase the work of up-in-coming local artists. There is talent all around us and sometimes even closer than we think. Emerge allows its’ viewers to explore what young adults are creating in a certain field of interest. This publication is produced frequently and has the potential to branch over endless types of art concepts. The idea of influencing others to create, make, design and live is the true mission of Emerge. Showcasing the lifestyle of emerging Boston artists and taking a look into their passions not only inspires them, but also the readers to pursue what makes them happy from within and believe in what they create. If you stay true to your craft, your work is worth being discovered.

Handcrafted style packaging using thick 8.5x11 cardboard sheets with two white elastic bands to hold all the magazines together
as a collection.
I screen printed the brand's primary logo on the top of the cardboard and the edition's season on the bottom.
I hand stitch all of the magazines using the Japanese Stitch Binding method.
Thank you.
