In portugal we have the Thursday of the spike (quinta-feira da espiga), a Portuguese celebration that takes place on the day of the Ascension Thursday, the people gave long walks in the countryside in which we harvest spikes of various cereals, field flowers and sprigs of olive tree to form a branch. According to tradition the branch should be placed behind the entrance door, and should only be replaced by a new branch on the day of the next year's spike.
Having grown up part of my childhood near the sea, these days the people of the country came to spend the day at the beach and brought these branches, thats why I created this mixture of a Nudibranch with the flowers of the field
