Why Makeup? is a part of a book collaboration, ‘A practical guide to…’ which talks about the things we don’t understand. Why Makeup? is about why people use makeup and how makeup work. This project allowed me to incorporate my photography, hand-drawn elements and typography into a cohesive piece. I experimented with layout and physically playing with material as I wanted to reflect the idea that makeup is such a hands-on art form.
