Flare is a gender fluid line of garments that uses colors from my childhood memories of staring at the sun. I remember the colors being blinding and fantastic, even imaginary. As each garment transitions to the next, I want to express memory's impermanence, creating a gradation that returns to a state of desaturation. Through layering, symmetry, subtle openings, and stretch fabric these garments allow the wearer flexibility in movement while leaving small areas of the body exposed. By breaking down garment silhouettes to basic geometry, I want these simplified forms to encompass a wide range of bodies.
