It Doesn't Matter is the first set of images in a visual response to those that believe if black people were to dress "more presentable" then we would be respected more. This belief is false and rooted in Eurocentricism. In order to show the fallacy of this ideology, I gathered different types of clothing ranging from athletic to business casual and hung them in the same way black people were lynched. Additionally, I used my own clothing to tie in my own experiences and fears. This visual shows that regardless of our appearance, there is still a chance that we may fall victim to the same fate.
