This book is a celebration of the craft of the hand making of chocolate, in particular in the establishment of Guilbert's Chocolate; the last remaining chocolate shop to use entirely traditional, hand made processes. In a world of perfect food and machine manufacturing, the value of hand made objects are often disregarded. The book aims to rekindle the love of hand made chocolate, as well as explore where traditional processes lie in the modern, technological world. It explores the past, present and future of the craft through interviews of Alan White and his daughter Samantha.
