For my publication module, I was assigned to create a publication for the National Heritage Board.
Formed in 1993, the NHB is the custodian of Singapore’s heritage. They operate museums like The Malay Heritage Centre, The Asian Civilisation Museum, and The Peranakan Museum.

This illustrated postcard compilation tells the story of a Singaporean girl named Xin Yi and the aspects of the country she lives in, and loves. The book is a set of 44 illustrated postcards, each with a text explanation on the back. I wanted to try postcards because I was interested in making each card a piece of work, but also to develop a layout in a sense that the works would be able to flow in a set. Therefore, I felt that it would be a good way to try to form this type
of storyline by using postcards instead of a book.
