GRAIN is a biannual magazine where we explore and talk about food, not only introducing the good food in a city or country but also the amazing and talented people in that region. GRAIN presents you what – usually – everyone proud of, food! What’s better than having food as ice-breaking topics or a main subject to discuss?
First issue, a newborn baby!
In this issue, GRAIN explore Singapore food scenes in a slightly different perspective. GRAIN introduce you to local food, discover interesting cafes which merged the idea of food with other concepts or subject matters, reveal the secret spot for eating like a local and featuring articles about local life-styles from the perspective of food culture and tradition. GRAIN has also spent some time with Singapore-based artists who work with food, get them to share more about their works and themselves and exchangeideas! Food in Singapore was brought to the island by immigrants, yet after years of innovation, they are still the results of culture fusion which we think is extremely cool and remarkable.
