BFA Thesis Exhibition, Biola University, April 30 - May 4, 2012
My work references the architecture of cathedral windows, portals of light that discuss the divine. A cathedral is the quintessential sacred space and place where a person might go in times of brokenness to seek healing and wholeness. For me, this work is an exploration of the ins and outs of life - of those things that knock a person off his feet and force him to find his balance again, and those times that one can only stand in awe of the wonderful creator, bestower of life, giver of gifts, Lord.
For in brokenness one seeks to be whole again
In darkness one looks for the light
In chaos one strives for order
The other, his true delight
