Penguin Book Cover - To Kill A Mockingbird

my adult fiction entry to the Penguin Random House Design Award, To Kill A Mockingbird. My design revolves around shining a light on segregation whilst still paying homage to the famous bird iconography readers hold dear. The little birds are flying in the direction of change, that Scout believed in and the world has followed since the social attitudes of the sixties. The main characters are represented as little lights, with Tom, the mockingbird of the story, hung from a noose to signify lynching. Little lights are how I view people and a lightbulb shows a flick of an idea, that Scout had, of how in unison the world could be.
