UNICEF Report Card 14 - Data Visualization

UNICEF.
Children and the Sustainable Development Goals in Rich Countries.

Once again, we had the honor of creating the visual material for one of UNICEF’s most important,  eagerly anticipated global publication, the Innocenti Report Card (Building the Future: Children and the Sustainable Development Goals in Rich Countries). In close collaboration with their Research Centre we have been creating all promotional infographics and motion graphics for the launch of the report.

In keeping with UNICEF’s mandate to advocate for children in every country, the Innocenti Report Card series focuses on the well-being of children in industrialized countries. Each Report Card includes a league table ranking the countries of the OECD according to their record on the subject under discussion.

This Report Card offers an assessment of child well-being in the context of sustainable development across 41 countries of the European Union (EU) and the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). Specifically, this report seeks to bring the SDG targets for children in high-income countries into meaningful operation (while staying true to the ambitions of the global agenda) and to establish a point of departure for reviewing the SDG framework in these contexts.

Presented with raw data from the various studies and research findings, we did not only design the visual content, but also worked in close collaboration with the Innocenti research team to extract, summarize and combine the most important data into content-chunks that would be visualized.

In total we have created 9 infographics and 2 Motion Graphics, all designed to appeal to a wide audience while maintaining a professional academic language.
