Rain Cloud is a concept that explores the idea of an alarm clock as a non-disruptive system that would be integrated into one's morning routine rather than punctuate it with a series of shrill interactions. Whether it be through the sounds of gentle rain, forest rain, or rainstorms, Rain Cloud is the background music to a peaceful daily ritual. It is suspended above the sleeper, readily displaying the time. The user-interface exists in the form of a simple website on which the user can set the alarm time, frequency, and alarm type. Rain Cloud can also be used as ambient lighting.
