Kickstarter-funded in 2016, BOOK OF CORD is Chen's debut poetry chapbook, to be published by Tinfish Press. BOOK OF CORD is a tribute to heritage, to the mothers of the Taiwanese-American diaspora who subvert every regime, here and overseas --tenderly, powerfully, through and with their children. It is about how we cross the lullaby-bridge to confront painful crossroads of colonization, identity, and loss, to 'soft-sing our way to freedom.'
