As a designer, I aim to create unique urban environments, characters that can be adapted for theatre, film and immersive art experiences. I intend to create work that has contemporary relevance and addresses social and political issues within our society. My creative vision stemmed from growing up in inner-city London, being exposed to architecture, art, music, fashion and street culture. These areas mentioned have always appealed to me as a designer and inspired my work. This can be seen during my final major project at university was based the odyssey within a contemporary urban environment. I used a Juxtaposition of the roles of the Cyclops and Odysseus. I mainly focused on the aesthetic of the Cyclops giving him a unique urban look that stemmed from me being influenced by subcultures that have been prevalent in my surroundings. From which I created whole full-size set-piece and characters based on my contemporary version of the Odyssey
