"The Adobe 5th Scream Contest challenges you to paint your own version of Edvard Munch’s ’The Scream’ using his original brushes that have been digitally recreated for Photoshop or Sketch."

Looking at the originals I starting thinking about what the character was "seeing" and how it appears as if he is seeing the audience but if from another point of view perhaps he was seeing something or someone specific. 

So then one thing lead to another and I ended up with this "alternate perspective" of the painting where I shifted the view down moving the 2 other characters on the originals bridge out of site. Then added a stylized interpretation of The Mona Lisa to the foreground so it now seemed as tho Munch's character was seeing Mona Lisa. This of course was a surprise to Munch’s character but a welcome one none the less seeing another figure arguably even more famous than he and of course he was starstruck.
