In recently becoming a proud owner of a PlayStation 4, as a woman, I realized there were virtually no video games geared towards women with the same action, intensity, and compelling storylines to that of their "male"- oriented counterparts. With that being said - two new action movies are said to come out between 2017 and 2018 starring badass women with grit and style. Thus, my concept was born. While games like Horizon Zero Dawn, Mirror's Edge: Catalyst and Call of Duty in recent years have given women the chance to interact with female -and WOC-characters alike! -characters, I think the film industry would benefit from pushing these titles as AAA titles to add to their marketing mix.
