Imaginary Museum
Visual Communication Strategies
As part of an academic group project it was intended that we should define and implement, with little recourse to the computer, a set of visual communication strategies in order to materialize an Imaginary Museum. It was proposed to create a contemporary art museum where the exhibition spaces wouldn't have to be limited by rooms or walls, being different from all the traditional museums.
Someof the graphic objects created for it were the Artistic Manifesto, the Visual Identity Guide, the Newsletters and some Cubes that would represent aspecific designer.
Themuseum was inspired on artistic movements such as Futurism and Russian Constructivismand to give a more plastic expression to the objects, the text and images were transferredusing stencil or Xylene, so they could have a craft look. The materials used were mainly cardboard, hessian, recycled paper and ink spray.
