The annual “Seoul Hanok Exposition” provides a unique cultural experience. Anyone and everyone are welcome to this special glimpse of Korean traditional architecture.

For this poster project, I focused on portraying the amalgamation of both traditional and modern values. Inspired by Dancheong(the traditional painting technique on buildings), I tried to reinterpret it into geometrical patterns. Gradation of black and gold was used in the simple typography of the word ‘KOREA’, both to represent modernity and show the contrast between the colorful background images of the poster.
