"Arum" is a visual development project that narratively combines elements from the Indonesian folk tale: "The Origins of the Lotus" and the Balinese mythos of "Barong" and "Rangda". In the re-imagining of the characters from these legends, Arum and Barong embark on a journey to find the mystical flower that can purify Rangda's dark plague. The project is approached as a pre-production mock up for an animated feature film.
