Adidas "Next is everything"
Augusto NZ has developed and produced a new global adidas Rugby campaign, positioned as "Next Is Everything", featuring a handful of the world's most influential rugby players, including England's Maro Itoje & Anthony Watson, the All Blacks' Savea brothers, France's Baptiste Serin and NZ Women's Sevens star, Tyla Nathan Wong. This campaign has been launched with a first 60 second social film, and
I had the honor of being in charge of the 2D development, including the character design, storyboards and 2D animation.

The campaign continues with a series of 20+ videos and imagery promoting key players and new boot range.
Character design
I finally had to work on 16 different rugby players. My main focus was to make them look like super heroes with different powers, speed, strength, agility, depending on players' position on the field.
Storyboard
In a serie of 16 videos during 15 seconds each, we see players running super fast, carrying a dozen players in the same time, or kicking the ball up to a satellite broadcast... At this stage, I especially had to work on the points of view and the perspectives, I used a lot of low angle shots to focus on the shoes that were supposed to give them their power.
Animation
All the 2D animation part has been made with TVPaint animation, from the animatic to the clean up animation
