SKETCH & RESEARCH
WORKING PROGRESS
On August 20, 1977 and September 5, 1977, Voyager 2 and Voyager 1 respectively started space travel and successively went via the earth, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune. So far, Voyager has travelled in space for forty years. From January 1989 to January 1991, NASA successively published ten albums. The music of such albums was the voice that was converted from the electromagnetic vibration of different planets and ring system collected from the space by the Voyager probes. I redesigned the cover of the set of albums to commemorate the 40th anniversary of Voyager’s departure from the earth and their contributions to human beings.

The cover design was created basing on my fantasy of Voyager’s experiences. Each planet in the set of albums was named after the characters in the ancient Greek and Roman mythologies or literary works. I redesigned the cover through combining characters’ stories, Voyager and my own fantasy.
