Client: Marquerink Accessories

Task: Creating a contemporary scarf design for young women and simultaneously express the brands strong relation to art and its Dutch, central European origin.

Solution: The design I came up with is inspired by Dutch artist Piet Mondrian (De Stijl art movement) mixing with a graphic version of the traditional, European, checked pattern called tartan (originated in woven wool). The design is finalized in various color keys and two different sizes (shawl and scarf).
