The Sante

#sante in Kannada means market, a local market in villages.

I was going through my old hard disks and stumbled upon some photographs I took of the KR market in 2011 and I decided to turn them into illustrations.

Vegetable markets are a beautiful chaos; riot of colours, women screaming, people bargaining, and that smell. I love these women, they are strong, resilient, and proud!
