TAP Portugal: FlyMoji

When TAP launched the new emojis keyboard app, they wanted to have a microsite where clients, workers and suppliers could create their own emoji, put it on a christmas card and send it to their friends and family.

After understanding the briefing properly, I started by doing some research on some websites where people can send theme cards. The solutions I got were to create the whole card in the same page or to have a step-by-step process. As I had many steps in this process, I decided to go for a step-by-step website so all the elements wouldn’t be clustered in the screen and it would be easier for the user to understand what he needs to do. With this in mind, I started to create a task flow so I could define the process and then created wireframes where I organized the content for each page.

In order to follow the most recent web design trends, I decided to go for a full-screen website. This would give emphasis on the content and (as it was mentioned before) more space to the elements. As this website uses loads of illustrations, it could get a little heavy for some computers or old smartphones, so I decided to create a loading screen before the user reaches the homepage so it wouldn’t have the rush to go to another website.

Also, to know how much steps it would take to design the emoji and the card, during all the process, there is a progress bar. In favor of promoting this microsite, it is possible for the user to share the card on social media, download it and send it by email. There is also an extra option where the user can download the emoji and can use it as his profile picture on social media.
