St. Lawrence University Magazine was redesigned as a perfect-bound publication, printed on Opus Dull 60# at a slightly smaller trim size, but with additional pages (80). By carefully selecting the right vendor, the cost was reduced substantially even as production quality was improved. The story includes how Owen D. Young distributed phonograph records in 1930 to alert alumni to some changes. Using augmented reality through the Layar app, readers can scan the page with the record and hear the audio as it was recorded in 1930. This was Owen D. Young's first tweet!
