Pay Me in Light.

Autumn is definitely my favourite season of the year, it was where the inspiration for the colour palette came from. The narrative was inspired in equal measures by Georgie and his paper boat (from Steven King's "It") and a poem by Carol Ann Duffy.

Pay Me In Light
By Carol Ann Duffy

Pay me in light,
the sun’s bonanza
flung in handfuls through the trees,
amber in green leaves; pay me
in the silver lining of the clouds,
a percentage of rain.

I always love looking at other illustrators' rough sketches - so here's the development of the piece.
Thanks!!
