Interior Design Senior Thesis: EarthWorks
EarthWorks is an exhibition and workshop space in Boston which utilizes the visual arts and hands-on learning to promote environmental awareness to the local community. After researching connections between culture, art, and the environment, I decided to create a public, informal setting where visitors could learn through recycled art workshops, museum, and gallery space. EarthWorks is characterized by elements including sustainable design, universal design, collaborative learning, flexible furniture, eco art education, and user engagement. The goal is to offer an exploratory approach for exhibition visitors by demonstrating creative and innovative solutions to the environmental challenges that we face today. This project was completed utilizing Revit Architecture, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator.

Environmental Exhibition
The Environmental Exhibition is the main setting where visitors can explore different environmental issues and learn how to calculate and lower their personal carbon footprint.
Built Materials Exploration and Reception
The Built Materials Exploration visually demonstrates how EarthWorks takes unique steps to create a sustainable interior environment. Visitors can view recycled and reused building materials that are being utilized throughout the space.
Green Growth Timeline
The Green Growth Timeline is a transitional environment for visitors traveling to and from the art studio workshops and the environmental exhibition. Viewers can walk decade by decade through the environmental movement of the past and present.
Art Studio Workshop
In the Art Studio Workshop, guests can create artworks out of recycled materials. The space is divided by operable glass wall systems into three different classrooms that can be made private or transformed into one large collaborative environment.
Art Studio Workshop
An open, collaborative workshop as an alternative to the semi-private setting.
Student Gallery
The Student Gallery displays selected recycled artwork of past workshop participants. New guests can become inspired by others' art techniques and media as they travel through this space before entering the art studio workshops.
