The Grape Leaf Watercolor Painting

When one thinks of a leaf, they think of simplicity in shape, form and color. But nature is so very far from simplistic. This grape leaf captures the complexity of the environment.

The delicate veining is a representation of how a plant will stretch it’s roots to intertwine with another. This joining only adds to the intricacy of nature – each root seems so fragile, but together they become strong.

The colors are a forethought of how seemingly quick the environment can change from bountiful to sparse; like a virus eating outside-in. It’s a reminder of how, whilst we may be in a good situation, those around us aren’t always “in the green”.

Making us think about those less fortunate only does so much good; so 10% of all profits from sales will be going to charity, helping those less fortunate have access to simple luxuries such as healthy and safe-to-consume food.
