Set Design: Spring Awakening
Students were required to design a set for the play “Spring Awakening,” a play about a girl discovering things regarding sexuality. The set was to be designed in a way that considered lighting, color, and how it occupied the space. Students were asked to provide a concept sketch as well as a final model of our set design. My set design captures the essence of the story of Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden in a way the set displays life to death as a consequence of sin. It was challenging to figure out the most efficient ways to do scene transitions.
