They were thanking everyone who came up with plastics. It’s convenient, they said. It’s cheap, they said. It decomposes after 1,000 years and they looked away. We all did. Then you complained why the lightest rain can become heavy floods for days and you cringed when you passed by piles of trash on your way to work.
