Mother and Child (after Renaissance painting)

My sculpture consists of two parts: the heavy solid body (mother) made out of alabaster and 3-dimentional moveable metal object (child). There is no right or wrong way to exhibit this sculpture, because two parts are not physically united and metal object can be reconfigured and placed separately even in the other context. The work based on the study of the Italian Renaissance painter Piero della Francesca by deconstruction the original image using simple geometric forms.
