Lanzarote: a place of colour and shape

Lanzarote: a place of colour and shape

A visual exploration of the Spanish island's unique identity.

A seamless blend of complex volcanic landscapes and minimalistic urban clusters randomly scattered across it. Lanzarote looks and feels as a place where time has lost meaning and existence became obsolete. The black land and white dwellings juxtaposed
underneath the blue sky appear to have formed a culture of their own, one of shape and colour.

The few remaining hints of organic life can be observed in areas taken over by the tourism industry. These places of attraction act as hyperbolised and capitalised reflections of the true face of this island.
