Woke up to this view. Even though our hotel was next to the train station, my room was completely silent.
Taking the bus, we arrived at the Old Town section of Innsbruck, Austria. We saw the Goldenes Dachl (Golden Roof), which marked Emperor Maximilian I's wedding to Bianca Maria Sforza. From this balcony, they witnessed tournaments and festivals.
A nice cup of espresso with a freshly baked piece of apple strudel. I honestly think if you didn't try a piece of apple strudel, you didn't go to Austria.
Spent an hour at the Tiroler Landesmuseen (museum) and immersed myself in history. I enjoyed the Court Church - Tomb of the Emperor Maximilian I, Ebert organ, and the Silver Chapel.
The details in the carvings and paintings within the museum were truly mesmerizing and awe-inspiring.
Even the ceiling was a giant work of art.
The courtyard was well-maintained.
After the museum, I picked a direction and started walking. I ended up at the Innsbrucker Hofgarten, a beautiful park with people enjoying a game of chess in the cold.
On the other side of the park and across the road was a river. It was getting darker and colder.
Promises of love.
Apparently, this drink is only available in Austrian supermarkets and convenience stores. I have never found it anywhere else. Don't ask me to describe the taste, since I've never tasted anything like it anywhere else. Worth a try!
I kept exploring and found this Christmas Market. I bought a cup of mulled spice wine to warm me up. I kept the ceramic mug as a souvenir, since I already put down a deposit.
I love bookstores. I couldn't find any books that I could read, but I still loved browsing.
