Garbage Man

The title of this work is garbage man, the protagonist is a garbage man pulling garbage cart.
The garbage man is the bottom line in our society, but the man doesn't think so. Instead, it is easy to be satisfied with the status quo of your life, which can be satisfied by picking up the garbage to full a cart.
Through the abstract beautiful city behind it to telling the garbage man yearning for a better life and satisfaction.
At the same time, it is ironic that there are so many people in our life who have a rich material life, bet they still have full of complaints and dissatisfaction about it.
The things are still there, but men are no more the same ones

The theme of this work is place, and I chose four places where I have been to take pictures with different characters in Baltimore also edit them in to black and white.
I chose to frame with frames and spray into four different bright colors. The frame center is made of foam board, stick with four different colored fabrics. Finally, cut down the characters in the picture and make a college stick on the surface.
Everyone has their favorite place and lives in different places. Different places and gradually blurred characters make up the place where we live in. The life of every place is brought by people, but people will eventually die, only place will leaving.
Restrain

The work shows a human bound by a wire and surrounded by a black cone. The outermost and its surroundings are equipped with LED lights.
With so many networks and social media in our lives today, their impact on us is subtle. Many artists have been influenced by this kind of network media, creating "works of art" that are self-righteous and original. In fact, if you jump out of that circle, everyone's imagination and creativity are infinite.
Mix

The current trend of globalization is very obvious, which stimulates the fusion and collision of different cultures in many regions.
In this work, I represent the eastern and western cultures of the United States and China, and use Chinese architecture and representative buildings in the United States interpreted by lines. Finally, I used Chinese red and American blue represent the flow and blend of culture, which has a unique effect at the middle.
Quiet

China's current environmental pollution problem is really serious, and haze is an example. Many times in the city you even can't see the stars and the moon during night. Sometimes my mom and dad will take me to the countryside or in the mountains. Only that time I lie in the wild able to enjoy the beautiful night sky. Now I study in the United States, and every time I look up at the stars. I think of the happy time I had with my family.
I used balloons and cotton to make clouds, and I added LED lights to make the stars. It was as if the stars of heaven were seen through the clouds.

In this work, I use the cans to explain the class problems in today's society, but also reflect the gap between rich and poor and social relations.
Each of the cans represents a different social class, with many people suffering or enjoying themselves in every class. At the bottom  is the representative of the social underclass working people, above is the top management of the ruling class. When the upper echelons of society become corrupt, and when there is an inexhaustible supply of material resources, the people at the bottom will become increasingly squashed. Struggle in life.
Mix 2

This work is the final project that I worked with Patricia. We used many small pieces of cloth to make different flowers to join together to symbolize each individual in the world. The main tone we use is blue, red and green blend together, as if a sea of culture. It symbolizes the spread and integration of cultures around the world.
You can also interact with the audience. We used foam to make the base to combine with the work. The upper part of the fiber moves every little individual, as if it were a real ocean wave, and the process of cultural interaction.
Chaos

This is acrylic painted on canvas.
The professor asked each student in the class to come up with something and then mix twenty of them together on one project.
I chose to mix them together to show a chaotic world.
Burn My Heart and Burn the Ashes

I use origami to interpret hearts. The bottom plate is made of foam boards that adhere to many layers of plastic bags. The surface of plastic bags are treated with fire to achieve a unique effect. Then fix the hearts on the board and use the fire again to process the edges.
