The purpose of this project is to explore how different written languages can “communicate” and together establish a common, harmonious visual framework. In this project, I designed two visually related typefaces, one for English letters and the other for some frequently used Chinese characters. These two typefaces create a visual harmony between English letters and Chinese characters when displayed together. The outcomes prove that these two hypothetic typeface designs can be used together in a bilingual environment internationally.
