BENGIES DRIVE-IN
The catalog for Bengies Drive-In Theatre is meant to rebrand the existing design and create a catalog of their movies. The design consists of a contemporary retro design, using fun, quirky, and engaging design elements. The final outcome? A quirky, yet sophisticated design.
POETIC ENGAGEMENT
The idea of taking two materials and combining them excites me. The idea behind this structure is to poetically use curved wooden pieces as if they were stanzas using repetition in a poem.
BRITISH FOOTBALL UNVEILED
How's a mashup between football and fashion sound? The idea behind the event: Unveiled does just that. Unveiled uses a contemporary design scheme that is adaptable to being used in multiple countries. For the launch of the event, it is being help in England. Small easter egg motifs are used such as iconography.
FORMED Y'ALL
The idea behind the forms were to create a modular like system that would allow enough flexibility within the design. The forms would have compositional design elements and visual hierarchy to promote guidance to the user. Having a modular grid layout gave flow and flexible direction to the user when navigating the forms.
POPPA PEDRO
Poppa Pedro is a small family run hot sauce company that uses traditional methods like homegrown and cultivated peppers, artisanal packaging and in house brewed sauces. The branding takes a DIY approach to its design. Poppa Pedro, uses a lot of wood burning references, bold elements such as contrasting shapes and hierarchy in its typography, like a mixture of different font weights and styles.
SPATIAL STRUCTURE
The concept behind this video is to show spatial structure through literal and implied visual perception using compositional elements such as lines and circles. The video is projected on a protruding surface to enhance the feel of analog and mechanical in a spatial area reinforcing the literal and implied notion, through coded keyboard commands and mouse gestures. The process and software used was Openframeworks CC+.
