Artist Rebecca Louise Law holds part of her installation 'Life After Death' inside the Shirley Sherwood Gallery of Botanical Art at Kew Gardens in London. The exhibition showcases the artists' personal collection of plants and flowers, dried and preserved over a six year period.
Kew’s Herbarium specimens, including Egyptian garlands made with dried flowers dating back to 700BC inspired the artwork, which comprises of around 375,000 preserved flora suspended on copper wire.
The handmade installation is a delight to the senses and smells absolutely divine. I highly recommend a visit to the gallery, which is open until 11 March 2018.
