After going through the novel "To Kill A Mockingbird", I picked out a few different symbols and areas of reference that I could use in the book cover, instead of just simple incorporating a bird into the cover, and following along with what the novel's title says.
In the end, I chose the black and white lino print cover, as I liked the overlapping of the worlds and the colour scheme - but most importantly I liked the subtle message the book showed - which was racial divide. Having the white guilty lay on top of the black innocent showcases how in the novel a black man was found guilty for a crime, when he was actually innocent.
