"Stay Fashionably Cool"
Freesta is an all new technology based necklace that has the ability to regulate and cool your body temperature while having hot flashes during Menopause. This necklace is the perfect way to discreetly avoid those sweaty uncomfortable moments and keep you looking your fashionable best.
This was a project where I was instructed to design a product to help solve a problem. As I began to brain storm
I thought about the many women in my life who were now entering Menopause. The one thing that I've always heard about Menopause is the dreaded "hot flashes!" I took advantage of this opportunity to design a product that if real would actually reduce the intolerable suffering of hot flashes through the use of technology and fashion. This is how the idea of FREESTA the hot flash reducing necklace came to life. In the image above you can see my entire process from sketching, consumer profiles, research, packaging testing, logomarks and naming. The actual prototype for the necklace was designed and constructed using a 3D printer. All of these images were taken in a professional lighting studio and shot with a Canon 6D DSLR camera.
